Church Planters

Let me encourage every church planter who reads this blog to make plans to attend the Evolve conference in February hosted by churchplanters.com, Shawn Lovejoy, David Putman and the team at Mountain Lake Church who do an incredible job with this conference. From what I understand it is the second largest conference for church planters in the country.

They have some incredible speakers lined up for the main sessions including: my friend Darrin Patrick - the only guy I know who wants to live in St. Louis and plant a church, church planting phenom and rock star Steven Furtick (who could be a twin to a guy in my church), Bay Area Fellowship pastor and king of cool hair Bil Cornelius, theater church guru and blog king Mark Batterson, and churchplanters.com founder and Mr. Encouragement - Shawn Lovejoy.

They also have some great breakouts planned. I will be leading one of them on taking the gospel to a post-Christian culture. Based on the other breakout sessions, I am honestly not sure why anyone would come to mine but if you get bored you might check it out. It will definitely be worth your time ... not because I am such a gifted speaker but because I think God has taught me some cool stuff the last 2+ years doing church in a culture like Las Vegas.

If you are planting a church, getting ready to plant, are praying about planting, or want to be a church-planting church, you need to be at this conference.
