Grace Point's Band Opps

This past week, our band played in 3 very diverse environments: on Wednesday - a Baptist state convention (where I thought we were going to have to break out some defibrillators before it was over), on Friday night - a bar near the Strip (along with several other bands - from solo acoustic to heavy metal screamers), and on Saturday - a cross-denominational event of several thousand at UNLV's Thomas and Mack Arena. They are amazing and God is opening some huge opps for them.

It was so cool to hear them sing "Let God Arise" in the middle of a band show at a bar in Las Vegas on a Friday night. They were absolutely jamming. Of course the bar has an incredible sound system and amazing acoustics so that helped.

From day one, Grace Point has had an amazing band. We have several professional musicians who play with us. I know lots of planters talk about how amazing their band is, but I have never heard one in a portable church that is better than ours.

I am proud of them and God is using them to do some great things. They have several other opportunities coming up in the near future and God is using them to bring his message of grace to unlikely places. Way to go God!

Here's a picture off their first album. Mark Brattin, our present drummer, replaced Jabin (far right) who moved to Seattle recently. We have also added a couple of female singers we use on occasion and have several guys who play on occasion who are not pictured.

I would love to know when and where the are going to play so I could go listen and and support them. Perhaps a schedule on the web site?
